OCT commissioned Daniel Flannery to create a stage production show that would introduce the talent and production values of the west to China. The show followed the journey of a young traveler as he ventured into the world and discovered unique talents beneath the five Chinese elements of wood, metal, earth, water and fire. Mr. Flannery cast talented performers from around the world, including dancers, acrobats, synchronized swimmers, singers, musicians and magicians. Collaborators included many of Flannery’s longtime associates: puppets & kinetics by Michael Curry, choreography by Charles Moulton, Production Design by Daniel Flannery & James Clyne, Magic by Jarrett Parker and Costumes by Francine LeCoultre. The show was presented nightly at the Huaxia Cultural Arts Centre in Shenzhen China. The show was extended by popular demand and ran for five years.
